More Articles on the
Christian Subculture

Just ten articles so far for this section. They're quite brief so why not check them out? (Well, the first one's not so brief! But it does contain a lot of interesting information.)

Some topics that I hope to cover in future articles include:

* The DeepSight Trust in New Zealand makes a distinction between surface culture and deep culture. I would like to make some comments on their "Deep Mission to Deep Culture" theme.

* People still say that a subculture mentality would be detrimental to evangelism. I would like to answer this criticism more fully. Who says a subculture must be inward looking?

* There's a lot of talk in Christian circles about "incarnational ministry", and the implication seems to be that we should take on other people's culture in order to reach them for Jesus. Can we minister incarnationally from a subculture perspective?

* Christmas trees and Easter eggs. Like so many other things, they were pagan until the Christian church "baptised" them. Can we redeem modern culture in the same way?

* Contributions are invited from Christians who can relate the concepts presented in these pages to other nations, or "ethnos" people groups. Do the Christians in
your nation or people group display the characteristics of subculture?
