A website dedicated to the concept that the Christian Church is a valid subculture in an increasingly multicultural postmodern society.
This has become an area of special interest for me and I look forward to developing this web page as a forum for discussion about the cultural aspects of the Church.
For instance…
Is there a common culture among Bible-believing Christians wherever they may be in the world? Do Christians in Australia have more culturally in common with Christians in Africa or non-Christians in Australia? I am putting forward the idea that there is a recognizable Christian culture that transcends the barriers of race or nation.
Further, I am suggesting that the Christian Church was intended by its founder, the Lord Jesus Christ, to function as a subculture. (See 1 Peter 2:9,10) We are a people, not an organization.
But if so what are the distinguishing features of this subculture?
To see how well we can explore these questions, please…
